Caloundra Beaches

Kings Beach

Kings Beach is the unofficial ‘holiday heart’ of Caloundra. A huge sandy beach with excellent patrolled surfing provides the ideal holiday destination. Kings Beach has recently been linked to Bulcock Beach with a spectacular coastline boardwalk and also boasts the popular Kings Beach parklands with its fun water playground & 25m tidal pool. There is also a range of cafes and restaurants on offer.

Bulcock Beach

Bulcock Beach offers clear, white sand and safe swimming in the heart of the Caloundra CBD. This beach is right on the Pumicestone Passage and is a favourite for windsurfers, kitesurfers and families seeking the calm waters. The waterfront boardwalk and parklands offers easy access for water lovers of all ages.

Golden Beach

Located at the southern end of Caloundra, Golden Beach is sheltered sanctuary behind Bribie Island and fronting directly onto the Pumicestone Passage Marine Park. The area is a haven for fishing, boating, windsurfing and calm water swimming. It boasts numerous jetties, hire shops, parks and BBQ and picnic facilities.

Dicky Beach

Dicky Beach is a perfect family holiday destination with a patrolled surfing beach, extensive parklands and vibrant café strip. The endless white beach stretches up to Currimundi, where you have the choice of the surf or safe lake swimming and water sports.

Shelly Beach/Moffat Beach

This area is unpatrolled (Dicky Beach surf lifesaving club sends roving patrols in peak periods), but is very popular with surfers and longboard riders. The town of Moffat Beach offers a village atmosphere and has many beachside cafes with amazing views. It is just a short stroll from Moffat Beach to Shelly Beach – with many rockpools to explore along the way.
